Dear fellow rheumatologists!

We are very happy to announce that we will hold the Brazilian Congress of Rheumatology in Florianópolis in 2017. This will be the biggest event of the Brazilian Society of Rheumatology (SBR) in 2017, and the Santa Catarina Society of Rheumatology (SCR) receives this opportunity after almost 30 years, as in 1988 we had a Brazilian Congress here. It is important to highlight that Florianópolis has grown in these 30 years, and the city currently offers an enviable structure, which motivated us to organize this event. The venue for the congress will be the modern CentroSul convention center, which is located in Baía Sul next to the sea, very close to the old center of Florianópolis, and next to the bridges that connect the continent to this wonderful island. We know we have an arduous task, which makes us anxious, but we are already working to put on an excellent conference. We chose a competent and committed team, and together we will provide the best organization possible. We are already involved in the preparation of the scientific program, and we chose rheumatology and its interaction with internal medicine as the main theme of the event. We will bring the best national and international speakers, so that everyone is updated in the best possible way and returns from the congress with the certainty that they had an excellent scientific activity. In addition to the Congress, it is always good to remember that coming to the island of Florianópolis is guaranteed to have a great trip, as the island offers, in addition to around 42 beaches, other paradisiacal tourist places. I finish by saying that we will be very pleased to welcome you here in our city, so reserve the date of September 13th to 16th, 2017 for this event.
